Builders Forge and Small Project Services LLC provide the calculator and directory as software tools. They do not select, hire, employ, verify, endorse, supervise, direct, inspect, or guarantee any listed business or construction work and are not parties to customer-builder agreements.

Why the final price may differ

The calculator generally multiplies customer-entered measurements by a planning rate selected by the applicable dealer. It cannot fully account for labor conditions, material selections, waste, demolition, preparation, permits, code requirements, travel, minimum charges, taxes, accessibility, hidden damage, structural conditions, project complexity, or changes in scope.

Measurements and rates

Results depend on the accuracy of the measurements and selections entered. Rates may change without notice and may not include every material, service, fee, or tax required for the project.

Before work begins

The customer is responsible for selecting and evaluating a business. The selected business should inspect the project and provide its own detailed written proposal. The customer and business should independently agree on scope, price, schedule, payment terms, permits, change orders, credentials, insurance, and warranties before work begins. Do not purchase materials, arrange financing, or authorize work solely from a rough estimate or directory listing.
